What is the FMS? The FMS is a ranking and grading system that documents fundamental movement patterns. Using the FMS we are able to identify movement dysfunction and muscular imbalances. These are issues that can reduce the effects of functional training and physical conditioning and distort body awareness. The FMS generates a final score that we use to identify problems and track progress. Through this score, we are able to utilize the most beneficial corrective exercises to restore normal efficient movement patterns and build strength in each individual

Why the FMS?

• Identifies muscular imbalances, limitations and weakness
• Identifies movement dysfunction, pain, or both
• Aids in injury prevention
• Improves daily activities of living, fitness, and athletic performance
• Improves mobility and stability of the ankles, knees, hips, back, shoulders, and core.

Who can benefit from FMS? In short everyone. The FMS can be applied at any fitness level and age group. Using simplified corrective strategies of a variety of movement issues. It identifies specific exercises based on Individual FMS scores to create customized treatment plans.
